Susan Rider is a seasoned HR executive, consultant, and educator with over two decades of experience driving strategic human capital initiatives across sectors. As the Director of Human Resources and Compliance at Human Capital Concepts, Susan partners with businesses to implement people-first strategies that foster compliance, growth, and organizational resilience.
In addition to her consulting and executive leadership work, Susan has taught in higher education at IUPUI, Purdue University, and the University of Indianapolis, bringing real-world insight to future HR professionals. She holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Leadership and Design from the University of Indianapolis and is currently pursuing her Executive Juris Doctor at Purdue Global to further elevate her expertise in employment law and compliance.
Susan serves as the President of the National Association of Benefit and Insurance Professionals (NABIP), where she plays a pivotal role in shaping national advocacy and best practices in the employee benefits and wellness space. Her contributions to the industry have earned her numerous accolades, including Distinguished Service Award and recognition as one of the 25 Most Influential Women in Benefit Advising.
Dedicated to community service, Susan was a founding member of Food Secure Indy, and has served on several boards, including the Domestic Violence Network, Guild at Damar Services, and Ben’s Ranch Foundation. Passionate about continuous learning, Susan enjoys mentoring others, traveling with her family, and sharing good food and conversation with friends.
