Director of Compliance and Human Resources Consultant

Susan serves as the Director of Compliance & HR Consulting Services for Human Capital Concepts. She is a human resource executive working alongside business leaders to transform their organization initiatives and strategies in preparation for long-term sustainability & growth.

Susan has vast experience in human resource consulting, employee benefits, wellness and compliance. She is actively involved in the National Association of Benefit and Insurance Professionals (NABIP), and serves as President-elect. Susan serves on Governor Holcomb’s Indiana Department of Insurance (IDOI) CE Advisory Council, is a founding member of the Food Secure Indy project and recently joined the board for Ben’s Ranch which operates and supports programs designed to give teens with mental health challenges new ways to improve their lives by connecting them to the healing powers of the farm, ranch life and equine assisted therapies.
She has received multiple awards, most significantly – NAHU’s Distinguished Service Award, recognized in the Hot 100 Agents by Insurance Business Magazine and 25 Most Influential Women in Benefit Advising by Employee Benefit Advisor. Susan received her Master’s degree from the University of Indianapolis in Strategic Leadership and Design.
In her free time, you will find Susan mentoring the next generation, traveling with her family, cooking for friends and volunteering in her community. Susan is an avid reader and is always eager to learn new things. Her favorite travel destination so far is Japan, where she and her family spent 3 weeks learning about their culture, language & food.
