Benefits FAQs
Q: How do I get a card for my benefits?
A: You can contact your benefit representative that will be able to email you a temporary card or request a hard copy that will be mailed to your address. You can also login into the website of your provider (ex. Anthem, Guardian, Aflac, etc.) and create a profile to obtain a temporary card.
Q: How do I view my benefits?
A: You can view your benefits by logging into the HCC Employee Portal and clicking on Benefits > Summary.
Q: How do I turn off my pop-up blockers?
A: You will have to disable your pop-up blockers in order to for benefit enrollment screens open in a new window. If they are blocked, the window will not open. Here is how to disable your pop-up blockers for popular browsers:
Chrome:
- Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.
- Select Settings.
- Click Show advanced settings.
- in the “Privacy” section, click the Content settings button.
- In the “Pop–ups” section, select “Allow all sites to show pop–ups.” Customize permissions for specific websites by clicking Manage exceptions.
Firefox:
- Open the browser.
- Click the “hamburger” menu icon (top right) to open the Firefox menu.
- Click Options.
- Click the Content icon located at the top of the window.
- Make sure that Block pop–up windows is activated (checkbox).
- Click the Exceptions button located to the right of Block pop–up windows.
Internet Explorer:
- Open Internet Explorer, select the Tools button , and then select Internet options.
- On the Privacy tab, under Pop–up Blocker, select or clear the Turn on Pop–up Blocker checkbox, and then select OK.
Safari:
- From the Safari menu, choose Preferences… and click the Security tab.
- Ensure the Block pop-up windows option is not checked. Unchecking this option will allow pop–ups.
- To block pop–ups once again, check the Block pop-up windows checkbox.
Q: How do I find in-network providers?
A: With Anthem, you can find in-network providers by searching as a member or a guest: Find a Doctor
You can also login to your HCC Employee Portal and click on Anthem under Benefits and it will take you to the Find a Doctor page.
Q: How much will my procedure cost?
A: You can find the cost of a procedure by calling the 800 number on the back of your ID card.
Q: Where am I on my deductible and/or out-of-pocket (OOP)?
A: Look at your most recent Explanation of Benefits (EOB) or login to your insurance vendor website for deductible/out of pocket and claim information.
Q: Where can I get information on plan coverage?
A: You can contact your benefits representative for specific questions on your plan coverage. For general questions, log in to the HCC Employee Portal and navigate to Documents and click on the Benefit Plan Information folder.
Q: How do I get a Health Savings Account (HSA)?
A: You can open an HSA account at a bank of your choice or HCC often refers employees to HSA Authority, a division of Old National Bank. For further instructions, click on the PDF below.

Q: How much will my benefits cost?
A: You can view your benefits plan and cost by logging into the HCC Employee Portal and clicking on Benefits > Summary.
Q: When is my insurance active?
A: This varies depending on your employer. It’s best to contact your benefits representative with specific questions on your insurance. You can find your benefits representatives’ contact information on the HCC Employee Portal.
Q: When will my benefits end now that I’m no longer employed?
A: If you are terminated – the benefits are active until the last day of the month you were terminated. Depending on your employer, COBRA coverage may be offered. Please check with your benefits representative if you are interested in extending your benefits through COBRA.
Q: When do I enroll in benefits?
A: You can enroll in benefits after you have completed the online onboarding process. After the online onboarding, you will receive an email with instructions on how to enroll in benefits. You will also be able to re-elect or waive benefits at open enrollment once/year. If there is a qualifying life event (birth, death, marriage) – benefits can be changed at any time.
Q: How long can I keep my adult child on my plan?
A: You can keep your child on your plan until the last day of the month when the dependent turns 26 years old.
Payroll FAQs
Q: How do I view my pay stubs?
You can view your pay stubs at any time by logging into HCC Employee Portal and clicking on Pay > Pay History.
Q: How do I update my address?
You can change your personal address by logging into the HCC Employee Portal and clicking on Personal > Address > Change Address. After entering in your new address, be sure to click on the verify address button.
Q: How do I update my tax withholding?
You can change your tax withholding by logging into the HCC Employee Portal and clicking on Taxes> Tax Withholdings.
Q: How do I access my W2?
You can access your W2 by logging into the HCC Employee Portal and clicking on Taxes> W2.
Q: How do I update my direct deposit?
You can change your direct deposit by logging into the HCC Employee Portal and clicking on Pay> Direct Deposit.
Depending on when the direct deposit/new account information is entered, please expect 1-2 pay cycles for the change/update to take effect.

Q: Who do I contact with employee relations questions?
Contact your HR representative. If you’re not sure who your HR Representative is, their contact information can be found in your HCC employee portal.
Q: Who do I contact if I feel like I am being harassed or being discriminated against in the workplace?

Q: Who do I contact to find out if I can terminate someone?

Q: Who do I contact if I have been injured on the job?
Contact your HR representative to file a worker’s compensation claim. Please be prepared to complete a First Report of Injury form.

Q: How do I log in to the HCC Employee Portal?
You can login to the HCC Employee Portal by visiting hcchr.com and clicking on Employee Portal at the top of the page or go directly to the portal by clicking here: https://epwhcc-ep.prismhr.com/
Q: I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
On the login screen of the HCC Employee Portal, you can reset your password by clicking on Forgot Password.
Q: How do I see my handbook?
Login to the HCC Employee Portal and click on Documents and your employee handbook is located in the Employee Handbook & Other Company Policies folder.
